Totoro – Sampo – Piano Arrangement
Someone asked me to write down the arrangement of the Totoro opening theme that I usually play on piano. So, I have done so and I’m sharing it with all of you:

In case you don’t play, but would like to hear it, here’s (a somewhat low quality) recording of myself:

Feel free to contact me with any comments you may have.

Thanks for the sheet. I’m at the moment trying out a guitar version (I’ve other guitar sheets here) and this is helpful. One note, though: you play an D chord at measure 6; comparing this with other versions (and judging by my not very reliable ear) it should be a G.
Thanks for checking it out! I’ll double-check when I get a chance.
This was a beautiful arrangment! I’ve been trying to find a good one and your’s is definitely the best. Thank you so much! Now I just have to figure out how to make my hands big enough to play the cords….
You could always chop off a note or two from the chords if they’re too big for your hands.
your da best!!

It’s actually ‘Sanpo’ or in english ‘walk’ (polite suggestion)
It’s actually “さんぽ”. Once you study the language for a few years you tend to become less concerned about romaji, particularly in informal contexts =)
Thanks!
