Same here, I also favored the first OP, most specially the first ED

The 1st OP rather entices you to watch and the ED moves you to reflect.

Deep reflections and tears are inevtable, Im fortunate to have been moved and felt such

The second OP is also captivating, the song was appropriate with the repeating scenes of the opening vid

Yes, it's so satisfying when a great series is given a great soundtrack. The second ED was good in it's own way, but the first one was able to get me in tears on its own, just making me reflect on the episode. I dunno, it just struck me in a way that few others have. Ironically, I thought the singer of the first OP hit the high notes more convincingly than the girl singing the second.

Definitely one of the stronger soundtracks to come out of 2009 since the music is pretty darn beautiful, especially the Zoku Theme that you highlighted in your post. Insofar as the OP/ED stuff goes though, I'm still a sucker for Callin's Aishiteru because of how it sums up the theme of love really well.

But yeah, excellent review (far more technical than mine), covering both the pleasant stuff as well as some of the odder tracks that somehow work really well to provide an enjoyable listening experience... except for maybe that mosquito track from the first soundtrack :3
