I both play, and frequently listen to this piece. I can confidently say that your version is one of my absolute favourites on the web. Too many people try and play it far too quickly, and just massacre any emotion in the piece. Since when does speed make a piece more impressive?
Either way, I too appreciated both reading and listening to your interpretation. Felicitations.

Thanks for posting your performance video and remarks. I really admire your ability to play the piano. If I could play the piano, there is no doubt that I would try to play Debussy. He wrote many remarkable pieces for the piano. I’m particularly fond of the piece mentioned in an earlier comment (“Snowflakes Are Dancing”) and the “Joyous Island”.

I know of Isao Tomita. He also did a bunch of other Debussy pieces as well. I think his stuff is pretty impressive.

I know this tune! If you’ve ever watched PBS, every week there’s a short segment called “Star Gazer” which plays this tune on a moog synthesizer. I think I like the Star gazer version better though
